In general, I like to use the same figure and pose for these comparisons. However, at the time I bought these the line was in process of being sold to The Quartermaster. Hence the German infantry figure here. This is another “true” 15 mm line. This figure measures 13 mm from sole to eye, and allowing for the bent legs, would certainly be very close to 15. Note that I have deliberately painted his trousers blue for consistency - in actuality they should be white.

The Falcon line, as exemplified by this figure, tends more toward the moderate level of detail, aiming for an easily identifiable unit on the table. The cuffs, musket hoops, and straps are all raised to a high contrast. The details are easy to pick out and paint.

The anatomy and overall scale is solid. The right forearm is perhaps a bit large, but not fatally so. The same applies to the hands. However, the rest of the figure is in proportion. The face is a bit obscured by the helmet but the nose and mouth can be seen.

The pose is a bit exaggerated, but yet avoids the “comic-book” look of, say, some Old Glory or Minifigs poses. I do wonder that his hands are so close together on the musket, seems an unwieldy way to carry it. Still, a battalion of Germans in this pose would look impressive on the battlefield!
